Part Time - Sales & Hospitality Associate

Are you ready for a sparkling opportunity? We have establish Amista as the premier sparkling wine house in Dry Creek Valley. We were first to produce estate grown sparkling wines in Dry Creek made in the traditional Methode Champenoise. We continue to add sparkling wines to our portfolio of single-vineyard wines and have the perfect complement of wines for celebrating all of life's special moments. We are looking for a proven salesperson to help make sparkling and Rhone wines the centerpieces for our next phase of growth.

Amista Vineyards is a boutique winery currently making 2,800 cases, sold directly through our tasting room, wine club and web site. Amista means “making friends”, and ensuring our guests can experience the friendly spirit of Amista and the pleasures of wine country living is key to our success and fundamental to our philosophy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Greet all visitors with a warm friendly welcome
Actively listens and connects with guests 
Sell Wine
Promote and sell Wine Clubs
Describe wines, wine making techniques and winery history to customer 
Operate computer cash register (WineDirect)
Input data into computerized system
Aid in cleaning and stocking duties of tasting room
Represent winery at outside functions as needed 
Work during winery events
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 21 years old 
Reliable and flexible with an outgoing personality 
Display sense of humor; we like to have fun!
Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time 
Strong interest in learning about wine
Self-motivated
Computer skills a plus (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, social networking applications)
Experience in retail sales or hospitality preferred but not required

This is a part-time position (2 to 3 days per week), requiring a weekend commitment.
