The Road to Rhone - the journey continues!
We’re about to begin a new chapter in the Amista evolution, “The Road to Rhone”. The journey started back in 2000 when we ripped out eight acres of Chardonnay and replanted to Syrah, the most well-known Rhone variety.
In 2011, we added to our Rhone family with Grenache and Mourvèdre. That made it possible to create Tres, our estate grown GSM blend. Seven of our wines are now made from Rhone varietals, including three of our sparkling wines.
And speaking of sparkling, we are proud to be the premiere producer of sparkling wines in Sonoma's spectacular Dry Creek Valley. We are in our 8th year of crafting sparkling wines from grapes grown in our estate vineyards near the charming town of Healdsburg. We use the traditional Champagne method.
Our classic wines include estate-grown Chardonnay, Syrah, Grenache and Tres, plus Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon made with fruit from nearby Healdsburg neighbors.
Please join us in a toast to friendship!
