Introducing the Amista Wine Club Member of the Month Newsletter!

Here at Amista, our wine club members are like family. Therefore, we decided to start a monthly newsletter that would feature one of our wine club members. These are club members that are active in the Amista community and continually engage with and support the Amista Family. In addition to being featured in our monthly newsletter, Wine Club Members of the Month receive little prizes like extra savings on wine, food pairings, and other treats during the month. We will be doing this each month and asking club members if they would like to participate, so keep an eye out in your inbox to see if you have been nominated!

Our first Wine Club Members of the Month are Chris and Steve. They have been part of the family since 2011 and are members of our Circle of Friends club. Keep reading to find out a bit more about Chris and Steve!

Favorite Wine:

Choosing a favorite Amista wine is not an easy task.  We are both huge fans of the Rockpile Cabernet Sauvignon, that has got to be our overall favorite for all its rich complexity and consistency. Of course, the Sparkling Syrah is a very close second and an essential during the holidays (or any toasting occasion really).

Becoming Members:

We became members of Amista through our very dear friend Shannon Rund. Shannon was at a family reunion many years ago and discovered that not only did she have a cousin here in Sonoma County, but that this cousin has a winery called Amista Vineyards. None of us were familiar with this winery at that time, and we were excited to take the drive out Dry Creek for a visit. We fell in love with Amista and Amista wines immediately, as did we with Vicky and Mike. We became members that day. That first meeting has led to more wonderful times than we can count; there have been many tastings with friends and family, fun picnics by the vineyards, and amazing hosted events. Amista really has become part of our family.

Favorite Memory:

Our favorite memory comes from our first Dinner in the Vineyard event on August 3rd, 2013. A small group of us came together, including Shannon and her mother, Terry. It was a spectacular vineyard dinner, perfect weather, flowing wine and fun with amazing people. The night did not seem like it could be any more perfect, and then our transportation arrived to pick us up. We had booked a Karaoke van, complete with spinning disco ball; and somehow, we convinced Vicky to step inside and treat us to a duet with Shannon before we left. I have never heard Love Shack performed quite the same since.
