Our Rosé de Tres is a salmon-pink color with beautiful aromas of red raspberry, lychee and passion fruit mousse. The palate is just as fruit driven, with lingering flavors of fresh picked ripe berries and lemon zest and a bright finish. This will be your go-to summer porch drinking wine (and mine too)!

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
2018 was a dream vintage (which felt well deserved here in Sonoma County after 2017). After a warm but incredibly even growing season, we experienced a small dip in temperature at the beginning of August that lasted into harvest. This dip in temperature allowed for a super slow, very even and moderate ripening of the grapes for their last month on the vine. Although harvest 2018 was long and spaced out (and a large crop), it was a beautiful one to work with and the wines from this vintage will speak for themselves.
Production Notes
Welcome to our brand new wine, Rosé de Tres! This is our first vintage of this blend. Breaking from our normal style of making purposeful, pressed rosés, this one was made from a blend of saignee fractions from three of our Rhone wines: Syrah, Mourvedre and Grenache. After we picked each of these lots for red wine, we saigneed (drained juice from the tank to increase the ratio of skins to remaining juice to concentrate the final red wine) a small percentage from each. The saignee fraction from each was a beautiful, light, crisp rosé juice. We fermented each lot separately and combined after fermentation. This wine did not go through malolactic fermentation and only saw stainless steel, which preserved the bright and delicate fruit. After 4 months in tank, we bottled.
Winemaker Notes
As a winemaker, it is always fun and exciting to write the notes for a new wine, especially for one as pretty as this!
