Though 2011 may have been a cooler, leaner year, our estate Syrah hardly seems fazed by this. The wine starts out with jammy fruit aromas of boysenberry and blueberry. The fruitiness continues on the front palate, where the richness is rounded out nicely by a bright spice component. This wine has soft, smooth tannins and a bright acidity on the finish. Delicious and ready to drink now!

Wine Profile
Winemaker Notes
2011 was a very challenging vintage in many ways. After a very long and wet winter, with rains lasting into June, we had a warm, but mild summer. Many factors affected the crop size of most varietals, including rains and wind during bloom, frost in the springtime, and the heat spikes from the previous vintage affected berry formation from the start.
