December Amista Friends of the Month Newsletter!

Here at Amista, our Wine Club members are considered part of our Family.
These are club members that continually engage with and support the Amista Family. In addition to being featured in our monthly newsletter, Amista Friends of the Month receive additional benefits, like extra savings on wine, food pairings, and other treats during the month. We will be doing this each month and asking club members if they would like to participate, so keep an eye out in your inbox to see if you have been nominated!
This month we are featuring our Club members Jess and Scott who are from back East in Danvers, Massachusetts. Jess and Scott have been a part of our Amista Family since 2012 and are members of our Sparkling Friends Club. Below is their story!

Favorite Wine:
If we HAD to pick just one favorite Amista wine, it would be the Sparkling Syrah -- but really, do we have to pick just one?? They are all delicious and bring such joy every time we open and share a bottle (or two) among friends.
Becoming Members:
My wife and I fell in love with Healdsburg ten years ago and have been back to the area at least once per year since then. We consider it our home-away-from-home at this point! We're usually there with friends in tow - almost always with Jess' sister Jolene and her husband Miguel, and usually with a few others along for the ride as well, the more the merrier! In 2012, we were visiting with Jolene and Miguel, plus two of our other friends who had never been to Healdsburg before. We wanted to show them THE best trip ever, so we brought them to some of our usual spots and at one point, decided - let's try something new. "OK, third winery on the left!" that's our next stop. And as we pulled up, we saw a sign for Amista that invited visitors in for a vertical Zin tasting. Of course, we had to stop in - first of all, vertical Zin tasting sounded amazing (even though we barely knew what that meant at the time!) and upon hearing that Amista stands for 'Making friends' - we were hooked and have been back every year since. It is one of our favorite wine country stories to share with friends back home and most certainly some of our favorite wines are Amista's finest.
Favorite Memory:
Ours is from one of our most recent trips this summer. We brought Jolene and Miguel plus our 'soul family' - two of our friends who are truly like family to us. They had never been to wine country before and we of course had to bring them to Amista so they could see what all the fuss was about. They've since been back with us again (just a few weeks ago, thank you again Tammy for the amazing visit!!) and are now proud Amista wine club members too.
