September 2021 Amista Friend of the Month Newsletter!

Here at Amista we want to thank all of our Club Members for supporting us. We would like to take the time to honor our Wine Club members as each and every one continues to stay passionate about our wines. We love to hear their stories of sharing Amista with friends and family!

These are Club Members who we have special relationships with, and who visit us from near and far! Once a month we feature Amista Friends of the Month in our monthly newsletter. In accepting this invitation, they receive additional benefits... such as extra savings on wine, food pairings, and other treats during the month. We do this every month, and reach out to Club Members asking if they would like to participate. Keep an eye out in your inbox to see if you have been nominated by our Wine Club Manager!

For the month of September, we are featuring our former Estate Director, Robert Rainwater.

Robert has moved on in his career, and we appreciate his continued passion and loyalty to our wines. Below is his story!

Becoming a Member at Amista:

After spending 4 1/2 years working with Vicky, Mike, Ashley, and the Team at Amista there should be no reason to leave this amazing family. My heart is still and will always be with everyone at Amista. But that’s not where it all began - I was introduced to Vicky by another wine professional and she thought that I would be a great fit for what Vicky and Mike were looking for and she was right. It wasn’t a employee/employer relationship; it was a family.

My Favorite Amista Memory:

My favorite memories have always been the magical evening of Dinner / Appetizers in the Vineyard where we gather with friends and family from across the country. Oh..there was also the time Vicky, Mike, and I sat down with Elyce from Coco Tutti and paired her chocolates with our Amista wines. We had six different wines to taste to make sure it was perfect for friends that came to taste. Well..there were six empty bottles by the time we were finished. There are too many favorite moments.

My Favorite Amista Wine Pairing:

Coq Au Vin with Amista Grenache. Here is the recipe!

A Farewell

I have cherished all the Amista Friends that I have made over the years. This won’t be the last time you will see me at Amista. I will be visiting my vine tag and watching what happens next for Amista. I hope to see all of you at one of the dinners or holiday parties. Stay well and continue the friendship that brought us all together.
