May Amista Friends of the Month Newsletter!

Here at Amista we want to thank all of our Club Members for supporting us this year. We would like to take the time to honor our Wine Club members as each and every one continue to stay passionate about our wines.  We love to hear their stories of sharing with friends and family.

These are Club Members who we have special relationships with, and who visit us from near and far!  Once a month we feature Amista Friends of the Month in our monthly newsletter.  In accepting this invitation, they receive additional benefits... such as extra savings on wine, food pairings, and other treats during the month.  We do this every month, and reach out to Club Members asking if they would like to participate.  Keep an eye out in your inbox to see if you have been nominated by our Wine Club Manager!

For the month of May, we are featuring Tommy who lives in New Orleans, Louisiana!

We appreciate his continued passion and loyalty to our wines. Below is his story!

Tommy's Journey with Amista

Years ago, my wife, Peggy, and I decided to take a trip from New Orleans to the wine country for our Anniversary. We visited several vineyards, however, we were captivated by Amista. Peggy, Peggles, loved the Chardonnay and I really enjoyed all of the big reds. We joined the Club so we could continue to enjoy the wines since they were not sold down here. We have referred Amista to many friends who have, in turn, visited and joined as well.

A couple of years ago, Amista contacted me about being featured in the Newsletter. Unfortunately, Peggles had just passed away, totally unexpectedly, in her sleep. The timing could not have been worse. However, they decided to feature her and even named a Chardonnay vine after her. I know she cares for that vine as she did all of her gardens and flowers, so much better than I.

When Amista contacted me about being featured, I was quite excited and happy, because it gave me a chance to tell her story and the Amista story. They have been my California family. They keep her Chardonnay coming, along with my reds. We loved to sit on our back porch by the Lake and enjoy our trip, over and over again. I would fix her scallops to go with her wine and I would put a big old Ribeye on the grill to go with my Cabernets and Zinfandels.

I know if you are reading this, you must be enamored with Amista just as we were. I can't wait to get back. I am very jealous when I read about the dinners on the grounds. Raise a glass and toast my Peggles!
