Frank and Carol Gossett at Amista Vineyards

WINTER/SPRING 2022

Meet Carol & Frank Gossett

12 years after having first discovered Amista, our winery is still their favorite wine destination—a place where they enjoy sampling the unique wines and passing relaxed afternoons with their Amista family.

MEMORIES AT THE WINERY

"We are always greeted with a family smile and hug (when COVID isn’t looming). It is always a treat when Vickie and/or Mike are at the tasting room when we visit. For our 40th wedding anniversary, we stopped by and were delighted to see a hand-written sign displayed behind the tasting bar personally welcoming and congratulating us. The photo we sent in is from that visit. What a beautiful fall day it was! We just celebrated our 50th in 2021 and we are still stopping by!"

Amista is people friendly and DOG friendly! We brought our two boys (Barkley and Bentley) and were welcomed by all. By the way, Bentley loves red wine!

We remember one time when we dropped by, we enjoyed an afternoon sitting around a picnic table visiting with Mike and Vickie and friends – just like family. Casual, personal, and relaxing with great wine and interesting friends.

You can find our names/signatures on one of the wine barrels in the tasting room and we know that we will be members forever! Just like their corks say, Making Friends is what life is all about at Amista!

FAVORITE AMISTA WINE

"Our favorite wine is Tres,  although the Rockpile Cab is also a GREAT...and who sticks with only one bottle for dinner anyway!"

AMISTA AT HOME

Rose by the Fire

"In the early evening, we like to sit around the fire pit with a glass or two of Rose of Tres or Grenache.  You need to start the evening out right!"

OUR FAVORITE PAIRING

Filet of Beef

"The recipe is simple: just a little olive oil, salt, and pepper on the filet, sear quickly in a cast iron skillet, and bake for about 6 minutes (medium rare) at 410 degrees. Let it rest and melt butter with ‘lots of fresh garlic over the top of the filet. Simple, but very yummy...and don't forget the Tres!"

Cheers, Mike & Vicky
