This wine is a crystal clear cranberry color with pretty pink bubbles. The aromas are full of bruleéd strawberries, lemon zest, and nutty roasted almonds. The palate explodes with ripe raspberry and orange blossom flavors. The finish is lively and clean and leaves you wanting more. While this is our go-to food pairing wine and it will pair with everything, some ideas are curried butternut squash soup, pork tenderloin and of course all the deliciousness on the Thanksgiving table.
Pop the cork and treat your friends to a sparkling blend that makes a brilliant aperitif. They'll be greeted with aromas of freshly picked strawberry and buttery pie crust followed by a mix of scintillating flavors - orange zest, strawberry and a touch of juicy yellow nectarine. Although beautiful on its own, the balance and finish also make this a perfect food wine. Pair with a cheese course that includes Meyer lemon compote, honeycome and a sharp Manchego.
2014 was another great year for our Blanc de Blanc. On the nose are aromas of ripe pear, lemon blossom and hints of vanilla bean and brioche. The palate continues the pear and floral notes and adds rich lemon curd and a delicate toastiness from added bottle time. The finish has a light acidity for balance and depth. This wine is really perfect for all the classic Champagne pairings: briny oysters or caviar on salty potato chips with crème fraiche. Buttered and salted popcorn would also be magical.
