Hands-on, guided blending and tasting experience begins December 1
HEALDSBURG, CA, November 18, 2013 – Amista Vineyards, the only producer of Dry Creek Valley sparkling wines, announces the launch of its “Art of Sparkling” dosage tasting. Beginning December 1, wine lovers will be able to reserve one of these exclusive experiences and go behind the scenes to discover the process of creating sparkling wines in the méthode champenoise.
“Dosage is unique to sparkling wine and a fascinating part of the process. It’s something that I don’t think most people outside the wine business are familiar with. I can't wait to share it with our guests,” says winemaker Ashley Herzberg.
Amista currently produces a Blanc de Blanc and a Sparkling Syrah, both 100% varietal estate wines made, respectively, with chardonnay and syrah grapes from Amista’s Morningsong Vineyards.
The inaugural release of the Blanc de Blanc scored 91 points and won a gold medal in the Press Democrat’s 2013 “Best of the Best” North Coast Wine Challenge.
Amista’s “Art of Sparkling” dosage tasting is offered for private groups of six to eight on weekdays by advance reservation starting Dec. 1. The price is $30 per person.
They are also offering public tastings by advance reservation on the first Friday of the month from 11:00am - 12 noon. Price is $30 per person.

We are esctatic that our first Blanc de Blanc brought home a gold medal from the "Best of the Best" North Coast Wine Challenge. The Blanc de Blanc is one of only three sparkling whites to bring home a gold medal in the competition.

Amista Brings a Sparkle to Dry Creek

The Sonoma County Water Agency starts this summer on a demonstration project to enhance the habitat for the steelhead trout and coho salmon in Dry Creek. The creek will be restored to its sparkling best and the fish will have a place to rest. Everyone wins!
We are honored to be among the nine property owners who have agreed to be part of the demonstration project and we're excited to see the results next fall.

We had the pleasure of hosting Renee Ho for a signing of her new book, The Friendship Effect, during our Valentine's celebration this past weekend. Upon meeting Renee and seeing her book, we knew we were on the "same page" about the value and power of friendships.
